Where the prices come from
Since 2026, every petrol station in the UK must report its prices to the government's Fuel Finder scheme within 30 minutes of a change. We fetch the full list every 30 minutes and show it unedited: stations are ordered by price or distance only, and no retailer pays to appear. Each price shows when it was last updated. Always check the price at the pump before you fill up.
How to pay less for fuel
- Supermarket forecourts are usually the cheapest, often by 5p a litre or more.
- Motorway services are usually the dearest. Fill up before a long journey.
- Standard unleaded (E10) is fine for almost all petrol cars built since 2011. Super unleaded costs around 12p a litre more.

Frequently asked questions
›How up to date are these fuel prices?
Forecourts must report a change within 30 minutes, and we refresh every 30 minutes, so most prices are less than an hour old. Each station shows when its price was last updated.
›Why is the price at the pump different?
Occasionally a station changes its price between updates or reports it late. The price on the pump is the one you pay.
›How do price alerts work?
Choose your postcode, fuel, distance and target price. When any station within that distance sells at or below your target, we email you, at most once a day. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
